We are looking for a Full Stack PHP Intern Developer to assist during 6 months in planning, building, and maintaining an aircraft airworthiness system at DAHER Aircraft, Inc., our facility in Pompano Beach, FL, USA belonging to DAHER’s Aircraft Business Unit. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in PHP and MySQL and is familiar with Web technologies. He/She must show knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery development with a passion to methodically solve problems and other modern practices. The Intern Developer will be also exposed to other IT projects if he/she successfully manages his/her current mission.

Full Stack PHP Intern Developer Responsibilities

  • You will strengthen PHP development using OOP/Procedural & Open Source
  • Collaborate in an agile development environment to code features & hotfixes
  • Work with team to plan out new features and backend architecture.
  • Research internet concepts, new technologies and industry trends.
  • Help build complex, scalable fast system and services.
  • Develop concepts to have the ability to enhance processes within the system through analysis, tracking and automation.
  • You will learn to manage your project and perform with great initiatives and under supervision.

Full Stack PHP Intern Developer Skills and Qualifications

  • Entry experience with LAMP stacks, knowledge in PHP and MySQL
  • Experience in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and other web production tools
  • Experience in building/configuring a dynamic website
  • Experience in drafting system  specifications and database design
  • Experience in information system project management with UML
  • Knowledge of best practices, cross-browser compatibility and developing for mobile environments
  • Building maintainable code with security and scaling in mind
  • Team player mindset

Required experience:

  • Testing: 3-12 months
  • Web Development: 3-12 months
  • MySQL: 3-12 months
  • PHP: 3-12 months
  • CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery: 3-12 months
  • Web Services: 0-1 year

Desired Education and interests:

  • Candidate in Master Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Speak, Write English fluently. French is a plus
  • Interests in Aviation Maintenance and Aeronautics
